D.O. La Mancha

Denomination of Origin (D.O.) La Mancha

La Mancha is the largest natural region of Spain with more than 3 million ha. and it is the largest vineyard of the world, from Madrid to Andalucia and along the four provinces (Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Toledo.)

La Mancha, probably with Arab roots (Mantxa) means dry land and defines perfectly a region where the rainfall is usually between 300 and 400 cc. per year.

For this reason and also for their peculiar limestone and clay soils, there are few crops adapted to the area so good as the vineyard. The sunshine allows a perfect ripening of the grapes and they grow without any disease, more usual in wetlands.

Therefore, full-bodied fine wines, fresh and high aromatic wines suitable for all palates are produced.
